A breeding calculator is only useful when its answer matches the game version you are playing. Palworld 1.0 changed enough breeding data that older spreadsheets and copied combo lists can point to a route that no longer works. PalBreedPath is built around a verified 1.0 dataset: it currently covers 299 Pals and 44,849 parent pairs, with the active data version shown alongside the result. That lets you separate a reachable path from a stale recommendation before you spend cake ingredients or time collecting another parent.
The planner solves two different questions. First, it checks the deterministic species outcome for each parent pair. Then it checks whether the passives you selected can plausibly travel through the chain. Estimates such as eggs, cakes and time are intentionally labeled as estimates; unsupported mutation or special rules remain unknown instead of being filled with a guess. How to use the Palworld breeding planner
You do not need an account or a save-file upload. The quickest way to get a useful answer is to model the roster you actually have, not an imaginary perfect collection. The planner keeps those selections in your browser and lets you reset them at any time.
1. Add your owned Pals
Search the roster and add the species you can breed today. Add a passive only when you really have it on that Pal; this keeps the route grounded in your inventory.
2. Choose a target Pal
Pick the Pal you want to produce and mark the passives that matter. The target editor distinguishes required passives from optional preferences so you can test a realistic build.
3. Compare verified routes
Review each path as a chain of parent pairs. The result shows steps, estimated eggs, cakes and time, plus a rule marker that explains why each species transition is allowed.
4. Check limits before breeding
Read the assumptions and data version before you start. An impossible result names the blocking rule; an unknown result means that rule still needs verification, not that the game definitely forbids the path.

No. PalBreedPath is an independent, fan-made utility and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Pocketpair.
Does it read my save file?
Not in v1. You choose the Pals and useful passives you own. The selection stays in your browser.
Why can a build be marked impossible?
Some passives or special outcomes are restricted by verified 1.0 rules. The result names the blocking rule and source instead of returning a misleading chain.
Are cake, egg and time numbers guaranteed?
No. They are estimates based on visible assumptions and probability. Species results and supported special rules are evaluated separately.
What if the tool does not know a mutation rule?
It returns an unknown state and links the active data version. It does not guess.
Is my roster uploaded?
No. V1 stores planner selections locally in your browser. Use Reset Planner to remove them.
How does Palworld 1.0 breeding compare with the old system?
PalBreedPath uses a source-pinned Palworld 1.0 outcome snapshot instead of copying older breeding sheets. When a 1.0 rule is not verified, the planner labels the result unknown rather than silently using an outdated formula.
What's the fastest way to breed a specific Pal?

How many cakes do I need for a three-step breeding path?
Cake totals are estimates, not guarantees. The result uses the visible assumptions for each step and keeps the estimate separate from the deterministic species chain. Check the cost strip on the result before spending ingredients.
Can I breed legendary Pals?
That depends on the verified 1.0 pair rules for the target. Select the Pal in the planner; a supported route is shown when the dataset can prove it, while restricted or unsupported cases are clearly labeled.
What are the best Palworld breeding combos for starters?
There is no single best combo for every roster. A good starter combo is one that uses Pals you already own and avoids an unnecessary detour. Use the planner to compare reachable parent pairs, then inspect the rule marker on each step.
Why do some breeding paths show as unknown?
Unknown means the active Palworld 1.0 dataset does not verify that rule yet. It is different from impossible: the planner refuses to guess when a gender-dependent, mutation, or special outcome is not supported.
